I am a big fan of Vistaprint. Between Chaos Is Bliss and my Willow House business, I’ve gotten business cards, postcard invitations, return address stamp, catalog/address labels … all for just the cost of shipping. You don’t even have to have a business to take advantage of their cheap prices! Last year we had custom photo calendars made for my mom and mother-in-law, again, just for the cost of shipping.
They offer a TON of themes, professional or cutesy – you decide!
For the 6 free products offer going on now, you can choose from business cards (or mommy contact cards!), sticky notes, note/thank-you cards, or a rubber stamp. All are FREE at Vistaprint, just pay shipping.

For a limited time only Vistaprint is launching a very HOT Holiday Cards offer: Get 20 Photo Holiday Cards for just $1.99! I have used Vistaprint several times for business cards, and while I haven’t used them for my family’s Christmas cards yet, I can say I have been very pleased with the quality of what I have ordered so far! You can choose from 5×7 folded cards (normally 20 for $25.99), 5×7 flat cards, 4×8 photo cards, and collage cards. You can upload up to 6 photos, and add optional features like pdf proof, premium paper stock!
I created a mock order to check shipping charges, here is what I did:
- Chose 4×8 photo cards, quantity of 20 for $1.99
- Uploaded one photo (free)
- Edited my text on the back (free) and chose for the back to be in black & white (free)
- Chose glossy finish paper (free)
- Said “no thanks” to several offers that followed
My order total came to $1.99, and shipping was $4.41 for the slowest (21 days). So in total $6.40 would be my cost for this order, as detailed above. Not bad for 20 photo cards! If you choose different size/style of cards the price may go up, also there could be a $2.49 upload fee for your photo if you do not choose a card other than a ‘photo card’.
So if you figure 32 cents each for a holiday photo card (shipped) – that price is right for me! Try it for yourself here!

Last year I made photo calendars for both my mom and my mother-in-law for their birthdays, which happened to be just days apart in December. I used a photo sharing site to make my calendars, but this year I’ll be trying Vistaprint since they’re offering a FREE Photo Calendar (just pay shipping).
I took a look at this to be sure it’s easy to navigate, load photos etc before I blogged about it. I actually really like it – there are several themes to choose from, some even have 12 backgrounds with a different one each month.
After selecting your design, you can format your layout (like if you need space to write events on the calendar, or if you’d just rather have the date in large print). Then upload your images – 1 per page, including one you can use as the cover image. You can even add a title to your calendar, such as “Oh My Heavens It’s 2011!” , or wherever your creativity leads you!
When your calendar is complete and you’re ready to check out, I will give you fair warning that Vistaprint will offer you many add-ons you may choose to accept or not. They default to unchecked, however just be sure when you get to your subtotal that you didn’t accidentally order something by mistake. They do a great job of pairing products, i.e. if you chose a polka-dot theme they may show you polka-dot address labels with your info already set, and if you like the price then feel free to add them to your order.
