Today’s Tips on B105.7: Amazon Prime Price Increasing

Amazon Prime

If you missed my money-saving tip this morning on Indianapolis’ B105.7, here’s the rundown!

If you aren’t already an Amazon Prime member, but you’ve been thinking about it, you may want to sign up for it now before the price goes up.

Amazon announced last week they’re raising the price between $20-$40/year. Right now you can join for $79/year – and you do get a free 30-day trial to see if it’s a good fit for your family.

Members get free 2-day shipping on thousands of items and no minimum order required – even a small dollar value item you can ship without reaching a minimum. (Tip: When researching Amazon for an item, check the box on the left sidebar to ONLY include items that are Prime-eligibile!).

You can also stream movies and TV shows which is a big benefit to a lot of families, plus there’s the Kindle Owner’s Lending Library you’ll have access to as a Prime member.

You just have to weigh if it’s worth upwards of $120 a year (i.e. $10/month). If you’re already subscribing to Netflix, you may find similar or more streaming options with Amazon Prime, plus you get the added benefits.

Learn more or enroll in your free 30-day trial here.
